5.2 Bid autocalculator:

Obviously we need to understand how you’re pricing your bid. So we’d like you to cost it using your projections for the components in order to demonstrate how you arrive at the value of your offer.

Please therefore enter the values of the components in your bid within the spaces below. You need not enter a value where you feel any component is irrelevant. Therefore, if you already have the product we need, you might return a £0K value against the costs of ‘Research and development’. Likewise, where your existing workplace is already adequate to the task in hand, you would be expected to return a £0K value against ‘Cost of construction’.

The costs you list should be your best estimate where resources are also simultaneously being used to deliver other contracts, quite possibly for other clients. This would, for example, mean that 10% of your ‘Costs of accommodation including any property tax’ would be entered where delivering the contract would probably utilise ca 10% of your accommodation.
